5K run/walk
A Race to Help Fight Cancer

Race for Life is a 5K run/walk that is in conjunction with Vandalia, Ohio’s Relay for Life. Relay for Life is a fun-filled, overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money for research and programs of your American Cancer Society. During the event, teams of people gather at schools, fairgrounds, or parks and take turns walking or running laps. Each team tries to keep at least one team member on the track at all times. At events in 4,800 communities nationwide, teams of families, friends and coworkers join together to CELEBRATE the lives of those who have battled cancer, REMEMBER those lost and FIGHT BACK against a disease that takes too much. All proceeds of the 5K run/walk will go to American Cancer Society and the fight against cancer.
American Cancer Society’s Mission Statement:
The American Cancer Society is the nationwide, community-based, voluntary
health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health
